Anne Rogers, Twirling Frog Studio
Michigan native, Ann Arbor based fused glass artist Anne Rogers, Twirling Frog Studio, has been working with glass for 17 years. With a lifelong interest in art she has worked with many mediums but upon her introduction to glass her passion was ignited. Her work includes fused and slumped glass wall sculptures, functional tableware and fun home accents. Anne’s creative evolution includes welding which allows her to customize sculptural pieces.Her creations are composed of art glass made of a vast color pallet which are hand cut, fused and formed using precise firing conditions to achieve harmony and balance in each piece. Her use of color and shape allow everyday items such as trees and birds to take on a contemporary flair. She continues to improve her techniques and style allowing the properties of glass to shape the final piece. Her love and passion of nature inspire many of her creations. Her work can be found in several galleries in Southeast Michigan where she also teaches classes and workshops.
