Printmaking is a dynamic and versatile form of artistic expression that bridges tradition and innovation. I work from a digital image (one that I have taken, or photos of one of my drawings) and work to translate it to a dynamic and interesting wood engraved image. Inviting guests to my printmaking studio demystifies the artistic process, builds emotional connections to the final artwork, and lets visitors experience the sensory magic—like ink rolling and the heavy crank of a press—that mass production cannot replicate.
